The family of a film screenwriter, who needs fresh air and, above all, peace and quiet for his creative work, moves to a small country farm for a while. However, his wife, a former, somewhat hysterical actress, still does not give him any peace, and so his small family, which also includes a six-year-old son, is in danger of falling apart. Unexpected, mysterious events, however, show them the way back. This is because there is a former coffee roastery on the farm, and the wife, together with her neighbor Dědek, starts a business against her husband's will.

Uti vår hage was a Norwegian sketch comedy television program which had two different runs on TV in 2003 and 2008 on the Norwegian state channel NRK. The show starred the three well-known comedians: Atle Antonsen, Harald Eia and Bård Tufte Johansen. The format of the show was one main storyline that would gradually branch off into several separate minor storylines. Two series of the show have been produced, and the second series carries the title Uti vår hage 2. The show has introduced popular characters like "Lena" from Døden på Oslo S and "Oslolosen". The first season consisted of six episodes and was first broadcast in September and October 2003, while the second season was aired in January – March 2008, with seven ordinary episodes and one special. The first season was the first occasion where the three comedians worked together.

Ros na Rún is a long-running Irish soap opera produced for the Irish language television channel, TG4. It was originally broadcast on RTÉ One in the early 1990s before the existence of TG4. It now broadcasts for 35 weeks of the year, airing 2 episodes each week from September to May. The programme is set in a fictional village called Ros Na Rún, located outside Galway, and near Spiddal, and centres around the domestic and professional lives of its residents. It is modelled on an average village in the West of Ireland but with its own distinct personality – diverse population that share secrets, romances, friendships etc. While the core community has remained the same, the look and feel of Ros Na Rún has changed and evolved over the years to incorporate the changing face of rural Ireland. Window cleaners Tatsuyo, Yuusuke, Kazuma, Kudou, and Hagiwara are of different ages and backgrounds, but work side by side with their heads in the clouds. The oldest of the group, 40-year-old Hagiwara is already a husband and father but hasn't given up his dream of becoming a novelist. Young aspiring musicians Tatsuyo and Yuusuke keep trying their luck with record labels, but their demos go straight to the trash can. Tatsuyo does find a receptive listener though in Kanako, a young hearing-impaired woman who falls in love with Tatsuyo and his music. Tatsuyo and group continue to move toward their dreams with small steps and big hearts until one day an accident at work completely changes their lives.
